FIVE Challenge: Best Titles for 2010

The FIVE Challenge was created by Adele of Persnickety Snark. A few weeks ago Adele challenged her fellow bloggers to create lists of their favorite books of the year. Today's list includes my favorite books of the year. I read some truly amazing novels in 2010, so narrowing it down to a top five was impossible and even doubling that number proved much harder than I thought. So, I decided to create two lists (I'm such a cheater), and include my top ten reads released this year and my top ten reads released prior to 2010.

Okay... so maybe I cheated a little more on the second list, but how can you pick one John Green novel!?! You can't, so I included all three. I'm also going to toss in a few middle grade novels. MG isn't something I read a lot of, but these two books were some of the best I've ever read:

So there's my list. It's a lot longer than I intended, but what can I say? I read some pretty fantastic books this year. I'd like to thank Adele of Persnickety Snark for hosting the FIVE Challenge. It was loads of fun to put together, and I really enjoyed seeing everyone's lists. Here's to 2011 being even greater!
