2011 Debut Author Challenge

One of the best experiences I've had this year as a blogger was participating in the Debut Author Challenge hosted by The Story Siren. Kristi does a fantastic job promoting debut YA and MG authors with over 350 participants already signed up for next year's challenge.

This year I read 16 novels by debut authors, so for next year's challenge I'd like to at least match that. Here's a list of titles I plan on reading:

The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher (1/1)
XVI by Julia Karr (1/6)
Across the Universe by Beth Revis (1/11)
Other Words for Love by Lorraine Zago Rosenthal (1/11)
Timeless by Alexandra Monir (1/11)
Where I Belong by Gwendolyn Heasley (2/1)
The Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney (2/8)
So Shelly by Ty Roth (2/8)
Rival by Sara Bennett Wealer (2/15)
Leverage by Joshua C. Cohen (2/17)
A Touch Mortal by Leah Clifford (2/22)
Falling Under by Gwen Hayes (3/1)
Like Mandarin by Kirsten Hubbard (3/8)
Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys (3/22)
Wither by Lauren Destefano (3/22)
Bumped by Megan McCafferty (4/26)
Die for Me by Amy Plum (5/10)
Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier (5/10)
Hourglass by Myra McEntire (5/24)
Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini (5/31)
Hereafter by Tara Hudson (6/7)
BESTEST. RAMADAN. EVER. by Medeia Sharif (7/8)
Bad Taste in Boys by Carrie Harris (7/12)

Titles in italics are ones I own, the ones that are bold I have read, and links will be added as reviews are posted. I will also be adding titles as they come to my attention and/or end up in my hands.

More information about the challenge, including where to sign up, can be found HERE.

Bumped is a debut? I didn't think it was...

  2. Exciting! I'm really debating whether or not to do this challenge, as my book budget is really low right now and not looking much better for next year, but I love the idea and have heard great things about it. Good luck, and I'll be signing up soon, too, I hope!

(and to the comment above, yes Bumped is a debut, the Jessica darling books are not YA novels, they are adult fiction.)
